5 tips to start your wellness journey

Starting doesn't have to be hard, it just has to be intentional.

The hardest step you will ever take towards your wellness journey is the first one, so I suggest making it as easy as possible! I like to pair habits together to make things easier.

Here are my top 5 things you can do to start your wellness routine:

  1. Get movement in every day

    • I choose exercise that I enjoy doing and that makes me feel good, strong, and confident in my body. Movement is meant to be enjoyable not torturous.

  2. Take a daily walk in the sun

    • I take my doggies out for a walk every day to get that sunshine and vitamin D and normally use this time for complete silence and reset or I choose to listen to a good podcast.

  3. Start your day off with quiet time

    • I always wake up and make a yummy cup of coffee and grab my gratitude journal before starting my day.

  4. Make a meal that nourishes your body

    • I find healthy recipes on pinterest and instagram that I want to try and save them! (Im obsessed with food reels lol)

  5. Put your phone down an hour before bed

    • A wind down period before bed is so important. I like to grab a good book or spend intentional time with my girlfriend before falling asleep (pre-bed cuddles? Absolutely)

Habits are easier to create when you make them simple and enjoyable. I also love the person I become when I do them which helps a ton with building consistency. Also…always have grace for yourself if you miss a day because it’s life..it’s gonna happen!

Remember, a perfect journey isn’t a perfect journey.
